The MSRDP Overseas Programme Award funded by National Research Foundation aims to help to encourage more local students to work on marine science research and in turn contribute to the talent development and manpower training in this area.

These student awards are for Final-Year Applied Project, Study Abroad Programmes and/or internship projects, overseas Professional Internship and overseas Final-Year-Project and must fall within current MSRDP themes which consist of the study of marine ecosystems and biodiversity (MEB), environment impact and monitoring (EIM), coastal ecological engineering (CEE) and marine technology and platforms (MTP).
